Rachel works nationally and internationally with Australia’s leading arts companies and her design work has been recognised through numerous industry awards. Her awards include eight Green Room Awards, several IES Victorian & National Awards of Excellence in Architectural Lighting Design and two Helpmann Award nominations. Rachel is a Senior Associate with Relume Consulting, an architectural lighting consultancy delivering specialist lighting design for the cultural, urban and residential realm. After graduating from Rusden College in 1989, Rachel worked full time as a theatre technician and tutor for St Martins Youth Arts Centre from 1989-1991, before working as a freelance lighting designer. She was a Senior Associate with Electrolight Pty Ltd as an architectural lighting designer 2007-2012. Rachel is passionate about the theatre, creative and architectural arts, and education and her design work is driven by a collaborative and dramaturgical approach. Rachel was Lecturer in Lighting at Victorian College of the Arts and Lecturer for Light in Performance for the Bachelor of Design Degree University of Melbourne.2017-2019
